After years of testing and research and working with our customers, AceCo’s engineers and tool makers have created the ultimate moulder head.  We have completely redesigned the tool- making a premium product better. Manufactured with 4150 heat treated high tensile alloy steel, AceCo moulder heads are engineered for maximum durability and performance.

• An improved pocket design with a smaller relief area at bottom of corrugations to reduce pitch buildup.
• Additional corrugations in the knife pocket for more positive engagement with knife steel.
• Extended gib height gives increased surface area; mating to knife steel for improved holding.
• Redesigned Ace-Loc sleeve.  A thicker, more robust flange adds sleeve strength and the drive tang feature ensures that the sleeve cannot spin in head body.
• Upgraded O-ring technology supported by back-up rings to increase tool life.
• A change over to metric grease zerks and relief fittings that use o-rings for sealing rather than a tapered thread seal.

 Each Ace-Loc, Sheer Cut or Straight Bore moulder head comes with hardened radius gibs that are heat-treated all the way through to resist screw wear. Every AceCo head comes complete with Plunger style grease zerks that have proven to be cleaner and more reliable than check ball fittings.  Our knife pocket options include 16-60° Corrugated or Flat Back cutting configurations with standard cutting angles of 12° or 20° meant to handle hard or softwoods.
